Calling all fiber artists and needleworkers! Whether your hobby of choice is knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, crochet, felting, or any other handmade piece of art worked up with needles, thread, or yarn, bring your projects and join us at the museum on the first Thursday of each month for a relaxing morning of crafting and connection.  Beginners welcome. Must have your own craft supplies. Pre-registration not required.

PDHM Historic Sampler & Beginner Cross Stitch Workshop

$30 per person

Celebrate stitching at PDHM by delving into a brief history of cross stitched samplers, examining historic samplers from Norfolk County’s collection, and starting your own project in our hands-on workshop for beginners. Choose from a modern design or one inspired by the samplers in our collection. No experience necessary! We will walk you through the supplies in your kit and teach you how to read a counted cross stitch pattern and create the basic stitches needed to complete a project. Pre-registration required.

All years and models welcome! Rain or shine.

Buckle up! Our 7th Annual Fun Car Rally is returning for 2024. During this fun family event, support the Port Dover Harbour Museum while cruising Norfolk’s scenic country roads! Drivers, navigators and friends will travel on a secret route, while answering questions about what they see along the way. See you at the finish line! New this year; experienced rally participants can skip orientation and get started right away!

Schedule of Events

10:00-11:00am: Registration in person at Annaleise Carr Aquatic Centre - Simcoe

11:00am:  Driver/Navigator Orientation. Rally will begin immediately after orientation.

All cars must turn in their questionnaires by 3:00 pm

PDHM Pumpkin Painting Party

We can barely HO-HO-HOLD in all of our excitement for Port Dover’s annual ChristmasFest celebration!

Stop by the museum before or after the Santa Claus parade to share in a little Christmas cheer with us. We’ve got a festive scavenger hunt on our main floor and a Christmas craft upstairs for ages 3-10.

This event is ADMISSION BY DONATION (cash or a contribution to the Port Dover and Area Lifeline Foodbank).

DTMHC – Light up the Season: Delhi BIA Christmas Party

The Delhi BIA presents “Light up the Season.” Come see the Delhi Tobacco Museum & Heritage Centre in all its Christmas grandeur. Sip a cup of hot cocoa and try your hand at our seasonal scavenger hunt, then take a picture with olde St. Nick and tell him all of your holiday wishes!

Admission by donation.

PDHM – Three in the Round Concert

Three in the Round: The Single Malt Sessions are back at Port Dover Harbour Museum! A seasoned musical trio, Three in the Round is made up of Gwen Potter, a sought-after English session musician, singer and viola d’amor player, John Harris, a gifted guitarist, mandolinist and singer from Nova Scotia, and Bob MacLean, an East Coast singer/songwriter with a penchant for Celtic guitar. For their Single Malt Sessions, the group brings together the very best folk/trad song and tune selections from the British Isles, France, and Atlantic Canada for a special performance “in the round” at PDHM.

Holiday Night Market at the Museum

Vendors will be selected based on this criteria and space availability. 

-Vendor application form due on Thursday, November 27 – 4:00pm. Submit to the provided email or in person at the museum.

-Accepted vendors will be notified by Saturday, November 29 – 4:00pm.

-Payment of $25.00 due Thursday, December 4 – 4:00pm. Payment details provided upon acceptance.
