WHAM - The Art of Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decorating

Learn the traditional methods of Ukrainian egg decorating with instructor Kiana Shabatura. Course includes instruction, supplies and material to create one fully decorating Pysanky.

This not-to-be-missed hunt features over 6,000 chocolate eggs and multiple chances to win special prize packages. Gates open at 10:30 am sharp on a first come, first served basis. This outdoor egg hunt starts at 11am.
NCA – Digging Up Your Roots: Intermediate Genealogy Workshop

Join us Wednesday, April 23 from 6 pm to 7 pm for a intermediate level genealogy workshop. This workshop is designed for individuals who have some experience doing genealogy research but want to dig a little deeper into their local archives’ collection. Learn how to find and navigate land records including abstracts and deeds and other archival records such as wills, legal records, family collections and more!
During the workshop you will have the opportunity to ask the archivist questions and learn about some tools available that you can use at home to research your family.

Three in the Round: The Single Malt Sessions are back at Port Dover Harbour Museum! A seasoned musical trio, Three in the Round is made up of Gwen Potter, a sought-after English session musician, singer and viola d’amor player, John Harris, a gifted guitarist, mandolinist and singer from Nova Scotia, and Bob MacLean, an East Coast singer/songwriter with a penchant for Celtic guitar. For their Single Malt Sessions, the group brings together the very best folk/trad song and tune selections from the British Isles, France, and Atlantic Canada for a special performance “in the round” at PDHM.

Jen is a local artist whose multi-layered canvases are often infused with humorous elements and playful images allowing the viewer to join in her sophisticated and abstract yet childlike exploration of life and the world in which we live. A canvas and materials will be provided.
Come to the Port Dover Harbour Museum for a beginner friendly macramé workshop! In this two-hour class, Cori of CoriMai Fibers will teach participants how to create a gorgeous wall hanging that will add a touch of boho chic to any home. Multiple colour options will be available to personalize your projects. All supplies will be provided.
