At the beginning of November each year, Dia de los Muerto takes place to remember loved ones who have died and honour their memory by welcoming their spirits back into the homes of relatives. Celebrate Day of the Dead by painting your own calavera or sugar skulls. All supplies and materials will be provided.
Calling all fiber artists and needleworkers! Whether your hobby of choice is knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, crochet, felting, or any other handmade piece of art worked up with needles, thread, or yarn, bring your projects and join us at the museum on the first Thursday of each month for a relaxing morning of crafting and connection. Beginners welcome. Must have your own craft supplies. Pre-registration not required.
Spend a cozy afternoon at WHAM as instructors from the J.J. Rugger Rug Hooking Guild will teach participants the wonderful art of rug hooking. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore their creativity. The Waterford Chamber of Commerce’s Starlight Shopping are two evenings geared at bringing the community together to kick off the holiday shopping season and encourage Norfolk County residents to BUY LOCAL! Several local businesses – including the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum – will be extending their open hours in the evening to promote local shopping. WHAM would like to invite vendors to use the museum space as an opportunity for local vendors to take part!

In this introductory workshop to the junk journal craft, you will learn how to assemble and embellish your own Junk Journal with an advent theme for Christmas. Take your keepsake journal home and fill it with your holiday memories or gift it to a friend! Just in time for Christmas. this workshop is perfect for beginners! All supplies provided. This workshop is recommended for ages 18+. Light refreshments provided.

Paint your own holiday ornaments to give to a loved one (or keep yourself!). Crock-a-Doodle is coming to WHAM with all the supplies needed to make a mess and take home a treat! Treasures will be ready to pick up the following week. All ages, parent supervision required.
$30 per participant, 2 ornaments per person.
